After two years of regular fake tanning, I can honestly say that execpt for the fact I cannot imagine not using fake tan now, I have also become a little bit of an expect of the drugstore has to offer. So I decided in this blog post to give you a break down of my top 5 favourite affordable fake tan products that you must try!

1. Rimmel London Sunshimmer Self Tan Mousse

This is the newest addition to my list of favourites. Coming at a super low price of £5, it's a great product for those with a little bit of experience. `The colour develops super fast ( in as little as an hour!) therefore a knowledge of how to apply tan properly will be useful. I personality haven't experience any streaks when leaving it on for a couple of hours and my skin was left with a beautiful deep tan without looking orange. I did however, once, left it on overnight and I would highly recommend against it as the places where my glands are ( this is a nice way of putting ' where I sweat ' ) so arm pits, middle of back and ' knee pits' were left with a white patch. It does state on the bottle to leave it for a couple of hours only ( not 9, like I did ) so always read the label first!

2. St Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Mouse

This is the most expensive fake tanning product that I have tried. At a price of £30 ( which I personality think it's very expensive ) you can get an amazing, even and dark tan within an hour. I have also left this product overnight and did not find it match at all. This is a great alternative for those who don't like the typical smell of tan, as the scent is more ' fresh ' and sweet. The application of it is super easy and not sticky, however the amount you get did not last me as long as other tans that I have been using.

3. Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Tan Oil

The formula of this is unlike any other products I have mentioned. It's a clear oil spray that you apply on your skin, just like any other tans, but you cannot see the product right away. Do not let that fool you though, as I have never achieved a more 'flawless' finish. There are so many great things about Liquid Gold I don't even know where to start. First of you, it's a tropical scent, which means your skin is left smelling amazing all day. This product is to be applied, after shower, on dried skin so you can use it just as a moisturiser and the colour develops throughout the day, but will not stain your clothes. You can always apply it everyday and the tan does not becoming patchy, as long as you exfoliate once to twice a week. The only downside is that also the price point of £15 is a great middle point, you will run out of it quite quickly, therefore it's actually more expensive then you think.

4. St. Moriz Professional Mousse

Definitely the best value for money. The 200ml bottle costs only £5 and it will lasts you for absolute weeks. You really don't need to use a lot of it to get a long lasting tan. Personality I have found the medium shade to be deep enough to top it up every 3-4 days. I have tried the dark mousse on a couple of occasions and I have found it streaky and of a grey shade. The best and the worst part of this tan is how long lasting it is. Although you can easily get away with using it once a week, if you change if your mind, it's really difficult to take it off.

If there are any product recommendations you would like from me, please let me know.
